Our Story

Appalachian UTV was born right here in Banner Elk, North Carolina — a town surrounded by winding backroads, mountain passes, and hidden trails that most visitors never get to truly experience. It all started with one local’s love for exploring the Blue Ridge and the realization that too many people were stuck seeing it all from the highway or a crowded tour van.

The idea was simple: make it easy for anyone to access the raw beauty of the High Country without needing a trailer or guide. Just give them the keys to a top-tier, road-ready Polaris RZR and let them chart their own course. Whether it's cruising up to Beech Mountain for lunch, riding the Blue Ridge Parkway at golden hour, or exploring backroads at their own pace, we wanted to offer a new kind of adventure — one that’s personal, flexible, and unforgettable.

Today, Appalachian UTV is proud to offer a fleet of modern, professionally maintained side-by-sides equipped with the latest safety features and built for comfort and capability. But this is about more than just machines — it’s about sharing what we love about these mountains. We’re here to help visitors experience more, go farther, and create the kind of memories that stick with you long after the ride is over.
